We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Maintenance to oversee the operational efficiency of our facilities and ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Job Summary:
The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the Health Center's physical infrastructure, ensuring the facilities are clean, safe, functional, and compliant with all regulations. This role will manage a team of maintenance staff, coordinate repair projects, and develop preventative maintenance plans to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility equipment and systems.
- Manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff performance.
- Oversee and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for repairs, inspections, and facility improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including healthcare facility standards, safety protocols, and building codes.
- Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, making recommendations for capital improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor and respond to maintenance requests from various departments in a timely manner.
- Ensure that safety protocols and environmental regulations are followed to maintain a safe workplace for all staff, patients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of facilities and prioritize necessary repairs and upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare facility regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
- Experience managing a team and coordinating with outside vendors and contractors.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
