Maintenance Technician SSI Foods LLC - 2.2 Amarillo, TX Job Details 1 day ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications High school diploma or GED Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description Description: Key Duties/Responsibilities This position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including lubing equipment, basic plumbing, basic electrical, refrigeration preventative maintenance, and other building systems. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs after conferring with a technician Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as basic plumbing, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures Performs assigned preventative maintenance tasks Performs routine maintenance on building systems Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers Works well independently and with others Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment Knowledge of general mechanics and repair Ability to use hand tools and power tools Excellent organizational and time management skills Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1-year related experience preferred On-the-job training offered Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and walking Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Working in 30 to 50-degree Fahrenheit environment SSI Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: SSI is committed to the principle of equal opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
