Job Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment. As a lead mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting engines and equipment, performing services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet. To ensure success as a heavy equipment mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and diagnose equipment for mechanical issues.
Perform repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
Use technical manuals, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs.
Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on machinery.
Communicate equipment status to management and other mechanics.
Identify and order necessary parts for repairs.
Follow safety procedures during repairs and maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Stay current with industry standards and technological advancements in heavy equipment maintenance.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, twist, work on feet for extended periods of time, and lift 50-100lbs assisted and unassisted.
Asphalt equipment repair experience preferred.
Additional Details
Driver's License: Class A - Commercial
