Diesel Truck Mechanic- Vermont

We have an immediate opening available for a mechanic to join our team at our hub in St Albans, VT. This person will help maintain our fleet of Stewart's owned trucks and trailers. Duties: Perform standard vehicles maintenance. Perform standard component inspections and repairs. Perform preventive maintenance. Perform brake jobs, refrigeration, electronics, and minor welding. Diagnose and repair Diesel trucks including engine, drive line, suspension, and electrical problems. Identify root causes of basic failures, conditions and perform repairs as required. Perform tire replacements and identify tires that need to be changed or repaired. Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License. Class A CDL or willingness to obtain is preferred, but not required. Refrigeration experience preferred, but not required. Trailer experience is a plus. Vermont state inspectors license preferred but not required. Dependable with a team player attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being safety conscious. Ability to be on your feet and do repetitive lifting for several consecutive hours. Ability to accomplish set goals and meet deadlines. Schedule: Full time position available. Schedule is typically Monday-Friday 6am-4pm Schedule can include some weekends and holidays. Shared on-call responsibility. Starting pay based of experience. We Offer: Starting Pay: $24 - $30/hour.
