Maintenance Technician (TEMPORARY)

This is a temporary, full-time position with expected duration of employment to be 6 months or less.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific Competencies:
Performs general and preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment at all JCMG facilities. Examples include: painting, assembling furniture, lawncare, and other inside/outside building repairs.
Keep grounds free from trash and debris.
Provides Ground Maintenance
Adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
Operates maintenance equipment to perform essential job functions.
Responds to maintenance tickets and works with the Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks.
Works with Facilities Manager to maintain appropriate records of maintenance performed.
Provides assistance to co-workers when needed.
JCMG Core Competencies:
Strives for continuous quality improvement.
Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence.
Maintains high work ethic standards.
Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Experience:
Bonus to have basic knowledge of lawncare or general maintenance but not required.
Knowledge/skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions
Knowledge of general lawncare
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time
Skilled in operating and maintaining various types of ground maintenance equipment and tools
Skilled in using Power Tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works primarily outdoors; exposed to variable temperatures and weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, chemicals, loud equipment noise, and potentially dangerous equipment (e.g., mower, tractor); requires considerable physical exertion to include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds (e.g., fertilizer, trees) and extended periods of kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking; may work varied hours and shifts to include early mornings or evenings; requires some in town travel.
