Assembler - Hand & Power Tool Use *Seeking candidates with hand & power tool experience* Location : Ocala, FL (34474) Shift: 5:30am-4pm (Mon-Thurs); available overtime on Fri/Sat Pay: $16.50/hr Contract-to-hire Job Description Assemble parts of firetrucks by running wire, electronics, plumbing, and mechanical components on the truck. Use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts of the truck. Work off of shop orders to correctly install components. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Install parts such as pumps, plumbing systems, brackets, hoses, and vehicle components onto fire apparatus and specialty vehicles Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to complete assembly tasks accurately Perform quality inspections to ensure finished assemblies meet specifications and safety standards Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues during assembly Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety guidelines Follow all safety procedures, policies, and PPE requirements Essential Skills Experience with assembly. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical assembly. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with tape measure. Knowledge of electrical, wiring, assembly, plumbing, and mechanical assembly. Why Work Here?
