Service Manager Location: Jacksonville, FL Industry: Residential & Commercial HVAC Work Model: On-site Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus Overview An established HVAC company serving the Jacksonville market is seeking a Service Manager to oversee service operations and lead a team of field technicians. This role is responsible for technician leadership, service department performance, and customer satisfaction across both residential and commercial clients. The Service Manager will work closely with ownership while partnering with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure efficient service delivery, strong operational performance, and a high standard of customer care. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 14-15 HVAC technicians Establish performance expectations and monitor technician productivity Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing field coaching Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new technicians Promote a culture focused on professionalism, safety, and customer service Operational Management Coordinate with dispatch to optimize technician scheduling and route efficiency Collaborate with warehouse operations to maintain parts availability and service workflow Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures Financial Performance Monitor service department revenue, margins, and labor efficiency Track service KPIs such as productivity and callback rates Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and profitability Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and department strategy Customer Experience Monitor customer feedback and service outcomes Address escalated service issues when needed Maintain consistent service quality and workmanship standards Support strong relationships with long-standing residential and commercial clients Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry 2+ years of leadership experience managing service technicians or field teams Experience working with both residential and commercial HVAC systems Familiarity with service department KPIs and operational metrics Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications EPA Certification Experience managing service department financial performance Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Performance-based bonus Health insurance 401(k) with company match Opportunity This role offers the chance to lead a well-established service team within a long-standing HVAC organization focused on quality workmanship and strong customer relationships in the Jacksonville market.
