Industrial Electrician - PLC & Controls

Skillforce is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with PLC and controls expertise for a Richmond, VA. Power systems, frequency converters, UPS systems, motor controls, and tactical power enclosures. This is high-skill, high-voltage work for someone who lives in the world of ladder logic and 480V.

Pay and Schedule

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Full-time, 1st shift, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical and control systems

Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)

Wire and commission frequency converters, UPS systems, and motor controls

Read and interpret schematics, one-lines, and ladder logic

Diagnose high-voltage and low-voltage faults on equipment up to 480V+

Follow lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and safety protocols at every step

Qualifications

3+ years industrial electrical experience

Hands-on PLC programming, troubleshooting, or maintenance

Comfort working with high-voltage equipment and controls cabinets

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, your own tools and PPE

Able to pass a background check and drug screen
