Service Mechanic

We are currently recruiting for a Service Mechanic in the shop. This is a great opportunity and a temp to hire position with a company offering benefits after the temp to hire.

Job Duties:
Responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, visual inspection, documentation, and assembly of pressure control equipment used in the oil and gas drilling industry, including manually operated and hydraulically operated gate valves, check valves, chokes, choke and kill manifold assemblies, and blow out preventers.
Responsible for performing all tasks in accordance with procedures and work instructions.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area and production shop as directed by the Shop Foreman.
Responsible for using tooling in a responsible manner and reporting any damaged or lost tooling to the Shop Foreman for replacement.
Responsible for complying with all safety procedures.

Skills:
Must possess the ability to interpret written instruction and drawings.

Physical requirements include heavy lifting.

Possess the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Possess basic mathematic skills.

Ability and willingness to comprehend procedures and specifications as directed by Quality Assurance and Top Management.
