We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team supporting a variety of customer mine sites on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry.

Wage: $55.28 - $61.42 (base rate + regional wage allowance)
o$2.55 Remote Mine Premium
o$3.25 Night Shift Premium
o$3.00 Underground Premium (when applicable)
oDouble Time OT
Shift: 14 x 14 - 15 additional scheduled weeks off a year!
Travel & Accommodation Support: Up to $1,000 travel allowance per rotation

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, BC Mining, youll troubleshoot and repair a variety of Caterpillar heavy equipment such as Rock Trucks, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators & Graders; leveraging your technical expertise to build trust, solve challenges, and keep our customers equipment moving.

Your work will include:

• Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in an active mine environment

• Interface with customers, products and sales support

• Largescale overhauls and rebuilds

• Component replacements

• Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication

Specific Skills & Experience

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/(HET) Certification

• Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr)

• 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience Recommended

• Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines 793 Haul Trucks, 6015, 6040 and 6060 Shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 395 Excavators, and 18 Graders

• Computer literacy along with Finning S-level courses

Important Information:

• This is a site position, on a 14 x 14 continuous shift rotation

• Customer Sites include: Ascot Mine, Bruce Jack, Skeena/TNDC, Conuma/Tumbler Ridge, Mount Milligan, Red Chris, Artemis

• A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (includes Drug & Alcohol, and Fitness testing) and the ability to wear a respirator
