Job Description
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located at Fort Campbell with the Directorate of Public Works. Who May Apply: US Citizens
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element) : Ability to do the work of a(n) Electronics Mechanic (Fire Alarm Systems) ~ without more than normal supervision. he ability to perform tasks including: 1) Maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and configuring a fire reporting system; 2) Using automated software and operating systems to program fire alarm systems, panels, devices, and modules; 3) Performing system inspections, maintenance test or adjustments. Work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews completion of work. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

- The work is predominantly inside, with some outside work during all types of weather. You may be subject to cuts, bruises, and broken bones when handling material or tools; and from falls from ladders. You may be subject to electric shock of up to 600 volts.
