We are seeking a versatile and skilled Facility Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team.
This role involves maintaining and optimizing various equipment and systems within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a diverse set of technical skills and an initiative-taking approach to maintenance and problem-solving. You will be the primary point of contact for general maintenance needs across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
Executing PMs of plant equipment and repairs around a busy production schedule.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
Creating work orders, maintaining inventory for replacement parts and performing general maintenance on OEM and custom fabricated equipment.
Communicating with team members on plant issues and working to improve plant operations.
Perform small-scale building maintenance tasks to keep the facility in good working condition.
Working with contractors such as electricians, refrigeration contractors, plumbers, etc.
Working with an evolving maintenance team along with a maintenance supervisor.
Adhere to and promote safety protocols and ergonomic guidelines in all maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards during maintenance operations.
Requirements and Skills:
High school diploma or vocational education. Entry level candidates considered. Prefer 1-4 years of experience in an industrial environment as a mechanic or machine operator with mechanical background.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical, hydraulic and minor electrical issues.
Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings, schematics.
Familiarity with tooling and machine tools.
Basic Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel and preferably maintenance software.
Basic math skills.
Must have a good work ethic, be interested in learning, coachable and able to follow instructions.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and ability to prioritize to respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise.
Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift within OSHA guidelines.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in various positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.
Manual dexterity and good eyesight for operating tools and performing intricate repairs.
