How you will make an impact:
As a Grade 3 Maintenance Technician, you play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial equipment supporting raw materials processing, papermaking, and converting operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to collaborate across trades and departments. Your work directly supports operational uptime, product quality, and continuous improvement across the Dalton facility.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, compressors, fans, and material handling systems
- Execute preventive maintenance, respond to trouble calls, and support urgent equipment repairs across manufacturing areas
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using sound diagnostic techniques
- Rebuild and service centrifugal pumps, bearings, seals, and rotating equipment with limited direction
- Perform equipment, roll, motor, and shaft alignments using mechanical and laser alignment tools
- Fabricate, assemble, and install components using blueprints, schematics, and precision measuring tools
- Conduct welding, cutting, and piping repairs using MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding equipment
- Maintain accurate records and utilize computerized systems for work orders, scheduling, and parts lookup

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of industrial maintenance or production support experience
- Proven mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and systems
- Experience working with pumps, motors, bearings, piping, hydraulic, and compressed air systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills including work order systems, email, and standard Microsoft applications
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

Preferred:
3+ years' experience in Paper or Paper related industry preferred.

The salary range for this role is $27.56 - $34.76 hourly. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
