Heavy Mobile Electronics Repair Technician

A government contract requires th this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documention th you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The Heavy Mobile Electronics Repair Technician shall provide services performing duties of diagnoses, modificion, overhaul, repair and maintenance of complex electrical devices, equipment and components, inkling those which are integred groupings of electrical and reled controls containing printed and miniurized electronic control circuitry.

Compension & Benefits:

Estimed Starting Salary Range for Heavy Mobile Electronics Repair Technician : $30-$32hr

Pay commensure with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Heavy Mobile Electronics Repair Technician Responsibilities Include:

  • Independently service complex electrical devices, equipment, and components.

  • Test, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, modify, reassemble, and perform final checkouts on items such as junction boxes, instrument panels, cable assemblies, light receptacles, rectifiers, generors/regulors, air cleaner blower motors, traverse motors, distribution boxes, tracer motor accessory control boxes, slip ring assemblies, gun-firing selector switch assemblies, and power relay boxes.

  • Set up and opere computer-controlled automed test equipment (ATE) to run established and new diagnostic programs across operional and functional modes for pretest and final checkout of electrical/electronic and interreled systems.

  • Prototype, valide, and refine new overhaul and test procedures for items newly introduced into the workload.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Thermal sight driver boards and laser range finder modules

  • Interface cards

  • Phased-array receivers and exciter modules

  • Signal processor SRUs

  • RF transceiver boards and crypto daughter cards

  • Display and processor modules

  • Frequency synthesizer cards

  • Night-vision/FLIR interface cards

Core technical tasks:

  • Microscopic soldering and desoldering

  • BGA/areaarray device rework

  • PCB trace and pad repair

  • Lamine and multilayer board repair

  • Conformal coing and encapsulant removal/reapplicion

  • Flex circuit and rigidflex repair

  • Gold finger and edge connector repling

  • Highdensity cable and connector fabricion

  • Corrosion and contaminion removal

  • Precision inspection and quality assurance

  • Certificion and recertificion maintenance

Heavy Mobile Electronics Repair Technician Experience, Educion, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Proficient with precision tools and instruments, including micrometers, calipers, spring-adjusting calipers, dial indicors, and electronic test equipment: voltmeters, frequency meters, transfer impedance meters, ohmmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, inductance/capacitance testers, frequency counters, meggers, multimeters, and specialized gear for troubleshooting to the lowest circuit element on single- and multi-layer PCBs.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of shop/trade theory and instrumention.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
  • ESD certified; current training required (training may be provided by Cherokee Federal Solutions).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Possess a valid ste drivers license.
  • Able to work in industrial, field, and office environments.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualificions of Cherokee Federal
