Maintenance Technician Location: St. Peter, MN Compensation: $25.00 per hour - paid weekly Schedule: 2nd Shift | 4:00pm- 4:30pm Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-time About the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing company in St. Peter, Minnesota. In this role, you'll support high speed production by keeping equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. What You'll Do as a Maintenance Technician: Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts usage, and work orders Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery Ensure equipment meets food safety, quality, and OSHA standards Support plant utilities including compressed air, HVAC, and water systems What You Need to Bring to the Maintenance Technician Role: High school diploma or GED 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and workplace safety procedures Ability to work 12 hour shifts on an alternating schedule and lift up to 50 lbs Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation Forklift certification or ability to become certified within 14 days Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish a plus) Preferred (but not required): 2 year degree in Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or related field CMMS experience Welding, fabrication, or electrical certifications Ready to Apply?
