Description
The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to oversee facility and property maintenance operations across multiple agency locations throughout Ocean County. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring agency buildings and grounds remain safe, operational, and properly maintained through effective coordination of maintenance activities and staff supervision.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on maintenance knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage a variety of facility-related projects in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee maintenance operations across multiple residential and program locations throughout Ocean County.
Supervise maintenance personnel by assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to agency standards.
Address both routine and advanced maintenance needs involving building systems, repairs, and property upkeep.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance situations as needed.
Prepare repair estimates, submit invoices, and assist with larger maintenance project coordination in accordance with agency procedures.
Coordinate landscaping, groundskeeping, and exterior property maintenance to ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and presentable.
Perform minor repairs, installations, and troubleshooting involving appliances, furniture, fixtures, and office equipment.
Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism while working with staff, vendors, and program locations.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of professional maintenance or facilities management experience required.
Demonstrated experience in building and facility repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, and groundskeeping.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment including hand tools, power tools, ladders, and landscaping machinery.
Experience using maintenance tracking systems or work order software preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing required, with no more than five (5) points.
