Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Electrician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. This position is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state.

This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.

Estimated Pay Range:

$60,782.49 - $83,575.93

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency .

The position requires seven (7) years of experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment/systems, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience. An active journeyperson license, valid in the State of Maryland, is preferred but not required.

Applicants must have the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance and must have a valid drivers license with less than 5 points. The position will require the ability to perform confined space entry and lift 50 pounds.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
