GrowthPoint Partners is working with a well-established ag company to hire a Mechanic. This is a direct-hire position in a shop leadership role with a company that values skilled trades and takes care of the people who carry them. What you'll own:
- Design and drive a preventive maintenance schedule that actually sticks covering the full fleet, every piece of equipment.
- Diagnose fast, prioritize smart, and get the fleet back up and running when things go sideways.
- Run internal inspections and keep every truck road-legal and inspection-ready, all the time.
- Clean, organized, fully stocked with the tools, parts, and supplies your crew needs to do their best work.
- Manage parts inventory, control costs, and maintain records that hold up.
- Be the voice in the room on repair vs. replace decisions your experience drives the recommendation.
- Direct, develop, and elevate the mechanics and shop employees around you.
- Partner with management and safety before equipment issues become bigger headaches.
The Fleet You'll Be Working On
No two days look the same. You'll be working across:
- Heavy trucks, trailers, dollies, tow spreaders, tender boxes, and tankers
- Forklifts, loaders, and yard trucks
- Pumps, transfer pumps, and injection pumps
- Light-duty company trucks
- Related facilities and infrastructure
What You Bring
- 8+ years of hands-on experience repairing heavy equipment, production equipment, and light-duty vehicles
- Sharp diagnostic instincts you find the root cause, not just the symptom
- The ability to juggle competing priorities without letting anything fall through the cracks
- A track record of keeping a shop clean, stocked, and operating at a high level
- Experience leading a crew a strong plus
- A standard that doesn't slip, even on a long day
