Look no further, Shamblin Stone, Inc. has the perfect career opportunity waiting for you!** Job Description Summary Multi-functional position, incorporating the performance of mechanic duties on various pieces of machinery and operating equipment. Requirements Experience working on construction equipment, preferably asphalt paving equipment Able to work flexible hours as required this includes overtime/weekends and holidays Able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and must be able to get along with your co-workers Able to follow written and oral instructions Must have own tools up to " drive mechanical and pneumatic and other tools required to perform job tasks Must be able to stick weld mild steel as a minimum requirement Able to use cutting torches and all other shop related tools Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics Hydraulic and electrical system trouble shooting and diagnostic skills required Basic computer skills for Excel based systems and/or OEM diagnostic systems Able to use hands and fingers to manipulate objects/climb ladders/work at heights/stoop/kneel/crawl/crouch and move objects up to 50 lbs Able to wear PPE as required to perform job duties safely Must have state issued drivers license for up to 26,000# vehicles Able to follow the safety policies of West Virginia Paving Inc./prime contractor and companies we perform work for These requirement are not all inclusive and may be changed as deemed necessary Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level. Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public. Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town/county/state work may be required. Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion. Must pass drug test and background check. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
