Equipment Maintenance Technician Job Description Join a rapidly growing company as a skilled and dependable Forklift/Material Handling Equipment Technician. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and light repairs across two facilities, maintaining the operational readiness of a fleet of material handling equipment. This includes turret trucks, sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and occasional scissor lifts. This position offers the opportunity to evolve into managing all equipment company-wide. Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on electric and propane forklifts. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Source and order parts as needed; manage inventory of critical components. Collaborate with operations to minimize equipment downtime. Stay current with evolving forklift technologies and repair techniques. Execute scheduled PM programs for all material handling equipment. Perform inspections, lubrication, battery maintenance, tire checks, and fluid service. Identify wear components before failure. Essential Skills Proven experience as a forklift or industrial equipment mechanic. 3-5+ years working on forklifts or material handling equipment. Experience with multiple forklift brands such as Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Yale, CAT, Komatsu. Experience with turret trucks is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of electric and battery-powered lift trucks. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and 24V / 36V / 48V electrical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Highly organized and self-directed. Strong documentation discipline. Proactive preventative mindset. Good communication skills. Work Environment The Maintenance/Engineering Department serves as your home base, where you will work in teams of two. The work environment includes three production buildings with a fourth coming online soon, and you'll train on days for three months before potentially moving to the second shift full-time. You will be provided with a tool kit and will occasionally drive a company van. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Vineyard, UT.
