The F-35 is the first tactical aircraft system to have sustainment tools designed in concert with the air vehicle to optimize operations. This focus on sustainment, together with economies of scale realized from a global supply chain for more than 3,000 aircraft, will help control the costs associated with maintaining a fleet of 5th Generation fighters.

*** Interim Secret Clearance Required Prior to Start ***

This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the JSF program at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. This position will require employee to work in a team environment maintaining F-35 aircraft. Tasks will include items such as aircraft Inspection, servicing, repair, overhaul, modification, fabrication and weapon loading as required.Minimum 5 years broad hands-on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS maintenance discipline or equivalent commercial experience such an FAA instrumentation license or 4 years F-35 specific maintenance experience.

Experience with reading and interpreting Aircraft Technical Data Instructions.

Experience with Tool Control, FOD, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.

Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, Technical Data.Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and maintenance instructions.

Previous flight test or military fighter aircraft maintenance experience in instrumentation and or avionics a plus.
