Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Hours: 40 + hours a week (weekdays and weekends) SUMMARY The Maintenance Tech reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and takes care of the Company's properties/activities as assigned. DUTIES Overall supervision of anything maintenance related, Examples: Repair drywall, texture, and paint. Hang doors and perform basic trim work/carpentry. Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs. Perform landscaping (to include mowing, trimming, etc.). Frame simple structures. Perform HVAC maintenance (a plus, but not required). Other duties as requested by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years of maintenance supervisory related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess good mathematical skills. Must be able to assess a situation and come up with a solution under the guidance of the Supervisor. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the strength and flexibility to perform the above mentioned duties and be able to lift 75 lbs Ability to multi-task and prioritize under the guidance of the Supervisor. Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required/assigned. Ability to work safely in all types of weather. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol tests.
