Basic Job Functions:We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who will take ownership of all mechanical and electrical functions and equipment at Nucor Towers & Structures Indiana (NTSIN).

NTSIN will feature state-of-the-art controls, automation, and robotics for advanced steel manufacturing, and the teammate will be responsible for maximizing machine productivity. The teammate must be able to support and troubleshoot the manufacturing equipment to keep the site producing and profitable.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and upgrade equipment and machines to improve production processesTroubleshoot non-functioning components including sensors, control components, and robotsTroubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits

Shift: This position will run 12 hour night shift from 6p-6a with a 4 on 4 off schedule.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDStrong understanding in the field of hydraulics.Must be mechanically sound.Strong understanding of 3-phase electricity.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with hydraulic systemsExperience troubleshooting high and low voltage circuitsExperience with Rockwell and Siemens PLCsExperience with ABB roboticsExperience working in a greenfield environment
