MECHANIC 3 SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

WV MILITARY AUTHORITY-KANAWHA COUNTY

This position is in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to perform warehousing operations, equipment upkeep, and maintenance support for Base Camp and Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) assets. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspection, servicing, and repair of a variety of combat tactical, commercial, special purpose, and military equipment to ensure operational readiness and mission support capability.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in one of the following areas: warehousing, service, mechanical or equipment operations. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months' experience in one or more of the following professions: Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in one or more of the following areas: Mechanics, Electrical, HVAC and Refrigeration. Prior CROWS or similar Remote Weapons Station experience. Must have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance directives and original manufacturer publications.
