Job Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, security, and daily operations of all bank facilities across 13 branch locations and administrative offices. This role ensures all properties are operational, compliant with banking and regulatory standards, and maintained in a professional manner that supports associates, clients, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all bank facilities and branch locations.
Ensure buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained in safe and operational condition.
Maintaining help desk and responding to tickets to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
Maintain an inventory of facilities materials with schedule for repairs or replacement.
Coordinate preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, elevators, and other systems.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and local/state building regulations.
Supervises maintenance staff, which includes scheduling, performance reviews, wage recommendations, etc.
Provides annual budget of costs for building/grounds improvements, repairs, and replacements.
Works with venders to monitor progress/results. Maintain vendor certificates of insurance and service agreements.
Makes regular contact with office managers along with regular physical inspection of buildings.
Prepares, updates, risk rates and monitors a 5-year plan of scheduled improvements and replacements for buildings and grounds.
Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent.
General knowledge of building trades.
Preferred:
Previous experience supervising facilities maintenance teams and/or contractors.
SKILLS
Ability to provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned staff while carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing output and accurately proofreading publications. While also presenting information to customers and management.
Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve targets/goals.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS office programs including Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal skills (tactfulness, cooperation, courteousness and customer friendliness) are necessary to represent the bank in a positive manner.
Ability to evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage service agreements.
Work Environment
This position is an on-site position located in our Hillsdale or Jackson office, requiring occasional travel between branches. It will be in a normal office environment with occasions to perform duties outside in all kinds of weather. Ability to work outside of normal hours for emergencies, etc.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physical labor, including but limited to: lifting up to 50 pounds at one time, climbing and standing on ladders, using a shovel, lifting boxes, operating a snow blower, etc.
Ability to travel to branch locations and vendor sites, as needed.
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
