ABOUT THE ROLE
Pool Professors is a full-service pool company serving the Lake Norman area. We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically-minded technician to diagnose and repair residential pool equipment. If you have a background in appliance repair, HVAC, electrical work, or plumbing your skills transfer directly to this role. We will provide all pool-specific training. No pool experience? No problem, as long as you know how to troubleshoot and fix things.

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY TO DAY
Diagnose and repair pool pumps, motors, heaters, salt chlorination systems, and automation control panels
Plumbing work repair and install PVC water lines, valves, and filtration equipment
Electrical troubleshooting work with timers, control relays, and low-voltage underwater lighting
Preventative checks test flow rates, system pressure, and overall system safety
Customer communication explain repairs clearly to homeowners and recommend equipment upgrades when needed
Accurate recordkeeping document all service visits and report findings back to the office

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
12+ years of experience in appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general mechanical repair pool experience is a plus but not required
Comfortable using a multi-meter, hand tools, and reading basic wiring or plumbing diagrams
Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
Honest, reliable, and takes pride in doing the job right
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus we will help the right candidate earn it
