Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinists for projects located in the Alameda, CA area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $34/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Marine Outside Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Installation, overhaul, removal, repair, rebuilding, installation, and alignment of shipboard machinery including propeller shafts, bearings, engines, generators, and anchor windlasses
  • Work on tugboats, ferries, Coast Guard cutters, cruise ships, pilot boats, barges, and other marine vessels
  • Support ship repair and overhaul operations in the yard
  • Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Must have respirator fit certificate
