Join our team of Life Changers! UPMC is hiring a Full-time, General Maintenance 2 to support the hospital at Carlisle. You will need to provide your own hand tools, UPMC will provide power tools and specialty tools. In this role, you'll handle a variety of tasks each day. Instead of working in just one trade, you'll support multiple trades based on the department's needs. Schedule is Wednesday-Saturday 10:00pm-8:00am (Night Shift) Holidays that fall on scheduled work day will be required. Apply today! Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision. Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry/hardware, mechanical equipment and facilities systems. Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc. Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems. Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC) systems. Order materials as needed. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Perform minor carpentry and painting work. Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis. Minor repairs and maintaining of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, plumbing leaks (soldering), defective pipes and clogged drains. Performs general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas. Performs required maintenance, repair and inspection of beds. Ability to perform snow removal activities and work in adverse weather conditions. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
