Maintenance Assistant
Tarrytown, NY
$25.75 per hour
Adecco is partnering with a client in Tarrytown, NY and we are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations and upkeep of a residential property in Tarrytown, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond professionally to resident maintenance requests.
Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to resident work orders, including basic plumbing repairs, leak investigations, and thermostat/HVAC-related issues.
Troubleshoot and assist with minor appliance repairs, including refrigerators, freezers, and stoves.
Coordinate and provide building access for vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed, including mechanical and boiler room access.
Assist with daily garbage collection procedures and safely operate trashpactor equipment according to the work schedule.
Replace and maintain HVAC and ventilation filters throughout residential units as needed.
Inspect, replace, and maintain smoke detector batteries to ensure building safetypliance.
Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of building entrances, lobby areas, and exterior front areas.
Perform minor painting, plastering, and wall touch-up repairs related to leaks or general maintenance needs.
Monitormon areas for maintenance concerns and report larger repair issues to management promptly.
Assist with additional general building maintenance duties to support safe and efficient property operations.
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance or building operations experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, appliance troubleshooting, and general repairs.
Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
Strongmunication andanizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be dependable, professional, and responsive to resident needs.

Pay Details: $25.75 per hour
