As the Property & Maintenance Manager at Philadelphia Job Corps, you will:
Oversee all property management, inventory control, and facility maintenance operations
Manage the full lifecycle of government property, including receiving, tracking, distribution, and disposal
Maintain accountability for $1-3 million in center property and ensure strict loss control procedures
Monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering, and manage warehousing and distribution of supplies
Provide daily leadership and quality control for facility maintenance, including preventative and corrective work
Develop and manage work order systems, maintenance schedules, and energy conservation initiatives
Oversee subcontracted work and ensure all projects meet company, local, and government standards
Supervise, train, and evaluate staff and Job Corps Work-Based Learning students
Lead hiring, coaching, performance management, and staff development efforts
Conduct inventory audits, annual certifications, and ensure accurate property records
Collaborate with federal property officers and internal departments to ensure compliance
Lead staff training on property procedures and participate in cross-functional operational meetings
Support facility planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification from an accredited technical or trade program preferred
Experience with federal property management, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
Electrician, HVAC, and/or Plumbing license preferred
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems required
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountability for high-value assets
Experience working with compliance standards and government regulations preferred
Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, climbing, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and other maintenance-related activities
