85% - Operational Duties:Unscheduled and scheduled maintenance.
a. Performs unscheduled maintenance.
i. Repairs or maintains industrial machines such as:
1. Laser guided vehicles.
2. Wrappers
3. Conveyors
4. Pallet dispensers
5. Balers
6. Inverters
ii. Studies machine parts or specifications to determine root cause of the problems.
iii. Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove the defective part.
iv. Replaces or repairs part(s), assembles, and tests machine or equipment to verify correction of the malfunction.
Performs periodic/preventative maintenance.
a. Maintains maintenance logs through an online maintenance tracking system.
b. Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks and adjusts.
c. Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications.
d. Aligns front wheels and changes or recharges batteries on an as needed basis.
Building maintenance
a. Performs electrical repairs including changing light ballasts, switches, breakers.
b. Oversee maintenance of overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks, etc.
c. Perform other miscellaneous repairs to the building as needed.
5% - Documentation:Inventory and record keeping
a. Maintains safety stock inventories for equipment and site supplies through an online inventory system.
b. Initiates purchase order for parts.
c. Tracks and reports equipment downtime to include root cause.
d. Tracks hours for repairs and periodic maintenance.
e. Ensures building maintenance and janitorial logs are maintained.
5% - Safety:Follows general safety practices and procedures including proper use of PPE and timely reporting of accidents, incidents, or safety concerns.
Follows food and human safety guidelines when performing duties.
Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment for conformance with standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and security.
Ensures work areas are free from hazards.
Attends and engages in safety meetings and discussions.
5% - Communication:Communicates internally with all United Facilities employees.
Communicates externally with vendors regarding parts and repair information.
Communicates externally with the customer regarding supply chain bottlenecks and equipment uptime.
RequirementsSkill Set Education:
High school diploma or GED;
Experience:Experience in equipment/facilities repair and maintenance.
Preferences:Welding experience.
