Job Title: Electronics Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler with a strong background in high-power electronics prototyping. You will collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to ensure the successful development and testing of electronic components and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Solder and rework 0402 and fine-pitch components.
  • Build and wire electrical panels, test fixtures, and cable assemblies from drawings and documentation.
  • Operate high-voltage (>1 kV) and high-power (>10 kW) test equipment safely, adhering to established procedures and using proper personal protective equipment.
  • Support testing and bring-up of hardware using standard lab equipment such as multimeters and power supplies.
  • Accurately record test data and observations during lab testing.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-power electronics.
  • Experience with high-power electronics, specifically 1000V+ or around 480V+ AC/DC.
  • Hands-on experience with PCBs, including rework, working with schematics, and soldering under a microscope, ideally down to 0402.
  • Proficiency in mechanical aspects of building cables, chassis, crimping, and creating assemblies.
  • Experience crimping on gauges/wires ranging from 24 AWG to 1/0 AWG.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with microcontrollers and FPGA.
  • Testing experience around PCBs and electronics.

Work Environment

The role requires onsite work from Monday to Friday in the prototyping lab. You will be part of a team at a market leader in solar trackers, contributing to the transition towards a comprehensive solution for solar trackers, inverter systems, and storage systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
