Maintenance Worker Part-Time

RSU 19 is seeking a dependable and self-motivated part-time, year-round Maintenance Worker with benefits. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and a variety of basic repair tasks throughout the District.

Qualified candidates should have prior maintenance experience, including plumbing, minor electrical work, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry. Experience operating a truck with both open-air and enclosed trailers is required. The successful candidate must also be willing to learn to operate a farm-sized tractor and have experience using a man lift.

Strong time management and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates must possess basic mathematical skills, computer proficiency for training and email communication, and the ability to effectively operate a cell phone. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.

Applicants must be able to obtain clearance through the State of Maine fingerprinting/background check process within 30 days of hire.
