As a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-1601-11, you will exercise administrive and technical supervision over one or more surface maintenance facilities, e.g., CSMS, MATES, UTES and/or FMS; plan and schedule work to be accomplished by subordines; set and adjust short-term priorities; develop, implement, and oversee the quality assurance program for assigned surface maintenance facilities; review work instructions, technical da, inspection methods, and test procedures to ensure adequacy; review quality and flow of merials and supplies required to support maintenance activities; provide technical guidance to assigned maintenance activities through coordined assistance or evaluion s; oversee hazardous waste/industrial hygiene programs for maintenance facilities supervised. Identifies special tools, test equipment requirements, and coordines procurement as needed.

Qualificions
AREA OF CONSIDERATION : This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Cegory 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Cegory 3: All current military members of the Florida Nional Guard; and Cegory 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida Nional Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Stus technicians.
PCS: Permanent Change of Stion (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorizion for payment of PCS expenses granted ONLY after determinion is made th payment is in the best interest of the Florida Nional Guard.
Recruitment / Relocion : Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determinion is made th payment is in the best interest of the Florida Nional Guard.

MILITARY GRADES: Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted: E7 thru O5
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience, educion, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings and specificions, using test instruments, making computions, and keeping records. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS11 Must have least 1-year specialized experience to least the next lower grade th provided experience in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facility, or service operions sufficient in planning assignments. Experience using well-established occupional methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restorion, repair needs, etc. Experience in determinion of resource needs, allocion of resources, and budgeting/funding needs. Experience in human resources management policy mters affecting the entire organizion, with personnel actions affecting key employees to include experience coordining work forces and resources and negotiing with management or clients concerning problems. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
