We create thoughtfully designed communities where residents, families, and staff feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and cared for. We are currently seeking a dependable and team-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations and upkeep of our community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. What You'll Do Responsibilities include assisting with building maintenance, responding to HVAC-related needs, supporting housekeeping tasks, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests. Daily Responsibilities Assist residents with packages, groceries, and other requests as needed Complete trash and recycling removal throughout the community Support maintenance tasks including unclogging drains, cleanup, and hauling materials Assist with HVAC-related issues and basic troubleshooting Conduct routine security rounds throughout the property Help maintain building exterior and grounds appearance Set up and tear down for special events and community functions Maintain common areas through carpet cleaning, touch-up painting, staining, and floor care Clean shared spaces and public restrooms Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Friendly, flexible, and dependable Observant and solution-oriented Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Organized and willing to jump in wherever needed Passionate about providing excellent service to seniors and families Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Must pass a background check and drug screening Previous maintenance, construction, or apartment maintenance experience preferred, but not required Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or electrical issues preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn and grow in building maintenance skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday Ability to walk throughout the community for extended periods of time Position involves both light and heavy physical activity Work Environment This position may involve exposure to: Cleaning chemicals Biohazard materials including blood or bodily fluids Sharps exposure Animal dander and latex The Springs Living Values We are looking for team members who: Demonstrate safe working practices Communicate clearly and professionally Work collaboratively with coworkers and residents Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Arrive reliably and ready to contribute Adapt positively to changing needs and priorities Compensation & Benefits Pay: Starting at $17.50/hour Job Type: Full-Time, Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am-6:30pm Benefits Include 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Employee discounts Location The Springs at Greer Gardens 1282 Goodpasture Island Road, Eugene, OR 97401.
