Subaru Mechanic Needed - 2013 2.5 FA Outback Timing Chain (hayward / castro valley) compensation: Open Greetings and thanks for reading my post. I had to abort my trip to Baja and now heading back to the bay area to replace the timing chain on my Outback. I have done a lot or research and was hoping it was just the camshaft sensors but after replacing them and digging deeper it seems to need a new chain. I am a solid mechanic but just do not have the motivation as there is too much going on with work at the moment. I plan on working on the car too but just need the mental support for this job. I have an extensive shop and all the tools to do the job. Not sure how long the job will take but I do know after looking at the videos it is a much bigger project than doing a belt. Open to hourly or bid the job but I really want someone who has the experience with doing a chain on a Subaru. Cheers post id: ... [ ]
