SUMMARYThe EHS Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor position is a combination of the Data and Compliance responsibilities of an EHS representative with the physical implementations of the Maintenance Team. The EHS Supervisor ensures employee safety, health, and environmental compliance. This position involves providing guidance, implementing processes, and fostering a safety culture within the organization. The EHS Supervisor collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. As the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance department including, but not limited to Facilities, Mechanical Technicians, Tooling, and general maintenance operations. Leading maintenance operations and effectively communicating updates across the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, ISO 14001, and ISO 500001.Conduct required inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.Ensures that material safety data (MSD) sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.Working with the factory leadership team (FLT), leading and coordinating the safety committee and employee training programs on various EHS topics.Partner with HR and department leaders to investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actionsManage relationships with regulatory agencies, conduct inspections, and ensure timely reporting and permit renewalsDevelop and keep up-to-date written compliance plans and programs, including, but not limited to, an Emergency Response Plan, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Spill Prevention Plan.Develop and keep up-to-date written compliance plans and programs, including, but not limited to, an Emergency Response Plan, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Spill Prevention Plan.Responsible for Maintenance Team Personnel, Machine Maintenance, and Facility MaintenanceSchedule Repairs with third party companies, and Vendor Preventative MaintenanceMaintain E-Maintenance Software: WO Distribution, Model Shop WO, WO Closing, Preventative Maintenance Orders (PM)Inventory of tooling and replacement components for timely repair times, and Lock out Tag outFacility Improvement/ Compliance: Fire Department, Landlord, Electrical, Safety/OSHA

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Experience in applying and integrating EHS management systems with ISO-9001-based quality management systems; ISO 13485 preferred.Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is preferred.Experience overseeing and improving ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 preferred.Extensive knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements regarding RCRA, OSHA, EPA, etc.Experience developing and providing safety-related technical training and developing written SOPs and programs.

Leadership and People Management experience (1-3 years)Machine Knowledge and understanding (1-3 years))Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.A bachelor's degree in engineering/sciences with 3+ years of experience or 10+ years of experience in a technical engineering role.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certification in relevant EHS disciplines (e.g., CSP, CEP, CIH) preferred.Current OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste operator.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Conversational in any other language is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSAs part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.Hearing protection in specific locations.Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.

TRAVELApproximately 10% of travel is expected.

SALARY INFORMATION:According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $78,000 and $93,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol CDI considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.
