Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire A contract manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne, IN. This role is crucial for providing daily support by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the longevity and uptime of equipment. Shift of the Maintenance Technician: 6 AM - 6 PM (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on rotation) Initial 6-month training period on the day shift. Salary of the Maintenance Technician: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour After the 6-month training period, a 20% shift differential is added, bringing the total compensation to $28.80 - $34.80 per hour. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician: Provide real-time support for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on equipment. Execute preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records to increase asset uptime. Support facilities, equipment, and safety-related projects for other departments. Follow and exemplify all safety rules and standards, including LOTO, PPE, and Arc flash procedures. Manage and close reactive maintenance work orders efficiently. Establish and maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts to minimize downtime. Collaborate with operations staff to resolve downtime events. Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician: High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant mechanical experience. Experience with troubleshooting and/or maintenance of industrial motors, motor controls, HVAC, chillers, pumps, or air compressor systems. Proficiency in metal fabrication (welding, machining, etc.). Experience with large industrial mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment. Familiarity with troubleshooting pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems. Maintenance Technicians Apply Today!
