Location: Detroit Welding and joining metal parts according to specifications Welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core), weld quality, heat control Perform welds on prepared joints- Inspect weld quality- Follow WPS (Weld Procedure Specs)- Repair or reweld as needed Welds in certified position Knowledge of welding machines, torches, grinders, weld gauges Welds structural material such as grates, plates, tanks, etc. Occasionally welding uncommon structural metals under close tolerances of heat application and workmanship Straighten materials by heat or flame. High school education, GED, or its equivalent with specialized classes in construction-related fields.
