Mechanical Assembler Job Description This temporary assignment involves assembling a large 3D weaving machine by constructing a substantial mechanical frame using 80/20 components. You will use hand and power tools to perform detailed mechanical assembly work in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Responsibilities Assemble a large 3D weaving machine frame, approximately 6 feet tall, using 80/20 structural components. Perform mechanical assembly tasks using a variety of hand and power tools. Interpret and follow blueprints and assembly documentation to ensure accurate construction. Build and align large mechanical structures with attention to detail and structural integrity. Inspect assembled components for proper fit, function, and quality, making adjustments as needed. Handle general labor tasks related to assembly, such as organizing parts, staging materials, and maintaining a clean work area. Lift, position, and secure parts and assemblies safely, including components weighing up to 50 pounds. Collaborate with team members to complete the project efficiently and on schedule. Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Essential Skills Proven aptitude for hands-on mechanical work and assembly. Experience assembling large mechanical structures or frames. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly. Ability to read and follow blueprints and mechanical assembly instructions. Capability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
