MIG Welder - 2nd Shift Shift: 3:00pm-1:30am Mon-Thurs; (will train on 1st shift) Pay: $21-$25/hr (Based on skills & experience) Location: Ocala, FL (34470) Job Description This role is responsible for assembling and welding steel components using MIG welding techniques, focusing on precision frame weldments and brackets. You will set up, lay out, and tack up steel structures to tight tolerances, using various welding tools and machines while interpreting complex blueprints to produce high-quality, accurate welds. Responsibilities Assemble and weld steel metal components, specializing in MIG welding techniques on carbon steel and stainless steel. Set up, lay out, and tack up precision frame weldments and brackets according to detailed specifications. Tack up structures and frames to tight and exact tolerances to ensure dimensional accuracy. Weld out precision frames to exact tolerances, maintaining consistent quality and structural integrity. Perform MIG welding on milled steel and stainless steel in both horizontal and vertical positions. Square up and weld various shapes and configurations of components to meet design requirements. Perform horizontal and vertical down plug welds safely and accurately. Read and interpret complicated blueprints and welding symbols to plan and execute welds correctly. Use and maintain welding tools, machines, and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Follow all safety procedures and shop standards while working in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment. Essential Skills Proven experience with MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel. Ability to perform horizontal and vertical MIG welds, including horizontal and vertical down plug welds. Demonstrated ability to square up and weld various shapes of components. Ability to tack up and weld precision frames and structures to tight and exact tolerances. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complicated blueprints and welding drawings. Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment using welding tools and machines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Additional Skills & Qualifications General welding background with hands-on experience in a production setting.
