This position directs inmate work crews as they complete maintenance, repair, and construction tasks throughout the facility while also performing hands-on work in various trades. The role supports safe operations by managing schedules, tools, materials, and work quality across a wide range of assignments. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:
- Work Crew Supervision: Plan daily assignments for inmate crews, guide their work, and inspect completed tasks
- Maintenance Support: Perform or assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, or other skilled trade work
- Tool and Material Control: Issue, track, and inventory tools and materials and conduct searches to maintain accountability
- Resource Planning: Determine needed supplies and submit purchase requests for materials and equipment
- Safety and Order: Maintain order during work details and provide instruction on safe operation of tools and machinery
- General Duties: Carry out additional tasks that support maintenance operations across the facility

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required .
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
