PCSI is looking for a General Maintenance Worker for our Electrical Department in Ft. Knox, Kentucky! This position will make minor adjustments to electrical, doors, and light carpentry, cleaning and maintaining of work areas and equipment, perform preventative maintenance functions, minor repairs, and changing fluorescent and other light bulbs, Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning, and ensure all paperwork is completed. This position will report to the Electrical Supervisor and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am- 3:30 pm.

What You'll Do as GMW:

•Assists in the accomplishment of minor building maintenance tasks which must be performed to proficiency and are listed
herein as examples, but are not limited to the following:
•Minor adjustments to electrical, doors, and light carpentry.
•Cleaning and maintaining of work areas and equipment.
•Perform preventative maintenance functions, minor repairs, and changing fluorescent and other light bulbs.
•Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning.
•Ensure all paperwork is completed.
Work involves a variety of the following duties:
•Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
•Assist in Emergency/Exit Lighting PMs.
•Assist in Grounding/LPS PMs.
•Assisting Electrician/Electronics techs in all duties assigned.
•Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

•High school diploma or GED.
•Must have at least six (6) months of experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, work above your head, and reach.
•Required to be able to lift 50lbs up to 10 times per day.
•Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
•Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (prior government contractor experience preferred).
•Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installation, maintenance and repair.
•Must have the ability to successfully complete all applicable training modules assigned.
•Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.

Other Requirements:

•Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
•Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
•Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
•Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
•If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
