Electrician II PU

Essential Functions:
Maintains, installs and repairs electrical systems, equipment and fixtures, and ensures electrical codes are met

Examples of Duties:
UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
- Installs new electrical service to comply with state and national codes
- Removes and installs wiring to pumps and motors
- Troubleshoots all electrical problems
- Repairs light fixtures and ballasts
- Installs temporary wiring for events
- Repairs overhead and underground electrical equipment
- Aids in electrical design for new facilities
- Reads and interprets blue prints and plans to install electrical equipment
- Maintain records of electrical repairs
- Strings electrical wire
- Performs related work

Minimum Requirements:
- Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
- Travels to various locations
- Lifts and carries items weighing up to 70 pounds
- Lifts and carries items weighing over 70 pounds in a team setting
- Spends prolonged periods of time exposed to the elements

Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Two years of electrical work experience at the journeyman level

Other Minimums:
- Must work a varied schedule
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL)

Equivalency:
