Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20- $20 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Senior Building Service Technician:

• Receives and verifies asset inventory, tags assets utilizing barcode technology, enters descriptive information into handled device or computer
• General trade experiences, electrical, plumbing, light framing as needed, drywall (patching), taping and painting
• Provides general building maintenance up to and including general maintenance support for all construction and relocation projects
• Troubleshoots and makes repairs to or replaces plumbing, parts and fixtures as necessary
• Installs, troubleshoots and makes repairs as necessary to electrical system, including, but not limited to wiring, replacement of ballast, lamps and fixtures. Pulls data and communications cables
• Knowledge of and experience with a variety of systems furniture and workstation components (KI, Steelcase, etc.)
• Supports Building Maintenance Facilities Engineer with Central Plant as needed
• Knowledge of and experience with installation, maintenance, set up and support of Audio Visual, Video and Multimedia related equipment
• Participates and supports setting up conference rooms and common areas for event
• Basic knowledge of and ability to read schematic's and building plans/blueprints
• Provides general maintenance support for all construction, renovation and relocation projects
• Cross trains duties with other technicians to assist when needed in Building Management Services projects
• Maintains Building Services parts, equipment and tools
• Practices keeping a safe and clean working environment
• Completes daily work order log and makes updates in on-line work order system
• Understands and practices the concept of Outstanding Customer Service
• Communicates effectively, gets along with co-workers and management, and deals with others effectively and professionally
• Willingness to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as needed or require

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Knowledge of and experience with a variety of systems furniture and workstation components (KI, Steelcase, etc.).
• Certification in Forklift Operation, preferred
• A basic understanding of computers, including MS Office Suite
• Customer service and organizational skills required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Candidate should have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Drug test required
