JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee: Assembler I
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt/Bonus Eligible
Reports To: Supervisor
Department: Shower/Faucet Assembly/Packaging
JOB PURPOSE: To assemble and pack products using work instructions and bill of materials (BOM) in accordance with assembly procedures and standards for that specific product. 1st and 2nd shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units using hands or power/pneumatic tools.
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Must exercise good judgment in recognizing defects and producing quality workmanship.
- Must be able to read Bill of Material (BOM) in assembly of product
- Must be able to meet production standards
- Fill out daily production sheet.
- Attention to detail in packing product and following work instructions for each product.
- Rotates between different work stations on a regular basis.
- Successfully interacts with co-workers in the work cell and department in meeting production goals.
- Operate within standard operating procedures and job Hazard analysis (JHAs).
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Participate in physical inventory.
- Responsible for working safely at all times. Adhere to all Hansgrohe safety rules, policy, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Lead/supervisor/manager.
- Frequently lift up to 40 lbs and for objects over 40 lbs get assistance in lifting.
- Maintain “good attendance” as per the Hansgrohe attendance policy.
- Adhere to and fulfill all requirements for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Must be able to work from verbal or written instructions.
- Ability to add and subtract numbers (5 th grade level) also must be able to multiply numbers.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred, but experience may be substituted. Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment.
