Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Trainee to assist in the maintenance and repair of vehicles or mechanical equipment under the supervision of experienced mechanics. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals pursuing a career in automotive, diesel, CNG or equipment maintenance and repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist senior mechanics with vehicle or equipment diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. • Perform routine tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks. • Clean and organize tools, parts, and work areas. • Learn to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment safely and correctly. • Follow all safety protocols and shop procedures. • Keep detailed records of services and repairs performed. • Attend training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills.

Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or GED (preferred). • Enrollment in or recent completion of a technical school program in automotive or mechanical repair (a plus). • Current Virginia Commercial Driver’s License Class B with P endorsement (preferred) or Virginia CDL Learner’s Permit.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Strong interest in mechanical systems and hands-on work. • Basic knowledge of vehicle components and maintenance procedures. • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. • Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibilities. • Strong work ethic. • Good problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail. • Time management and reliability. • Communication and interpersonal skills.
