Your role at Clorox:
At Clorox Atlanta Main Facility, the Facilities Coordinator serves as a key technical leader within the maintenance organization, supporting plant operations through the reliability and performance of facility utilities and building infrastructure systems.This role is intended for a highly experienced or trade-certified professional who provides day-to-day coordination, prioritization, and technical leadership for facility maintenance activities (without formal supervisory responsibility), ensuring systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
The role plays a critical part in coordinating maintenance activities, managing vendors and contractors, and executing small facility and utilities work supporting HVAC, boilers, compressed air, cooling towers, fire protection systems, access control/cameras, plant water systems (including city water), and overall site infrastructure.
Starting Hourly Rate: $47.41
In this role, you will:
Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities for facility technicians, providing hands-on support and technical troubleshooting across trades.
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of plant utility and facility systems, including HVAC systems, boilers and steam systems, compressed air systems, cooling towers and water systems, plant water systems (city water supply and distribution), fire alarm and suppression systems, electrical distribution (facility-side), access controls/cameras, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and capacity to ensure continuous support of plant operations; identify and escalate risks that could impact production, safety, or compliance
Plan and coordinate routine and complex maintenance work, ensuring preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance is executed effectively.
Support troubleshooting of recurring or complex system issues and drive improvements in reliability and maintenance practices.
Coordinate and manage contractors and vendors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality expectations.
Execute and coordinate small facility and utilities work such as equipment replacements, repairs, and system improvements within the maintenance scope.
Support site compliance through participation in audits, inspections, and follow-up actions.
Coordinate procurement of parts, materials, and services; manage inventory levels and assist with purchase orders and invoices.
Oversee maintenance coordination for forklifts and mobile equipment.
Respond to and coordinate resolution of facility-related equipment failures and emergencies.
Utilize SAP PM to plan, schedule, assign, and track maintenance work and documentation
What we look for:
5+ years of facilities, utilities, or skilled trades experience OR trade certification/license
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, boilers, compressed air, cooling towers, plant water systems, access control/cameras, and fire protection systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Organizational, coordination, and communication skills
Ability to provide technical leadership without supervisory authority
Experience with SAP PM or similar CMMS systems
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree or apprenticeship
Industrial or manufacturing experience
Experience managing contractors and maintenance work
Multi-craft background
Schedule: 8-hour shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Flexibility required to support operations and vendor coordination
