Job Description:
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide aspiring aviation maintenance professionals with hands-on experience and structured learning opportunities in a dynamic operational environment. Apprentices work alongside experienced maintenance personnel to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required to support the safe and efficient maintenance of Bristow's aircraft fleet.
This program offers participants valuable exposure to industry best practices, regulatory compliance standards, and aircraft maintenance procedures while supporting their progression toward a successful career in aviation maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in foundational training through approved Part 147 technical schools.
- Assist licensed AMTs in performing aircraft inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Complete structured OJT tasks including aircraft washing, tool control, logbook entries, and maintenance planning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Document training progress and participate in quarterly performance reviews.
- Follow all Bristow safety protocols, SMS principles, and FAA regulations.
- Prepare for and successfully pass the FAA A&P certification exam within 6 months of program completion.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Enrollment or completion of FAA Part 147 coursework preferred.
- Strong interest in aviation maintenance and mechanical systems.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and maintain attention to detail.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of aircraft maintenance work.
- Willingness to relocate and travel as needed.
