HVAC Mechanic - Commercial Special Projects

Location: Hampton Roads, VA

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $28.00-$38.00 (DOE)

A leading commercial mechanical contractor is seeking experienced and career-driven HVAC Mechanics to join its Special Projects team in the Hampton Roads area. Key Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and retrofit commercial HVAC systems and components

• Work on projects including:

• Rooftop units (RTUs)

• Heat pumps and DX systems

• Chillers and cooling towers

• Commercial boilers

• Pneumatic and electrical control systems

• Install and modify sheet metal, ductwork, and related HVAC components

• Read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications

• Ensure all installations meet quality standards and code requirements

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations

Qualifications

• HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent field experience
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred, not required)
• Experience with commercial HVAC installation and retrofit work
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical components
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
